Tonight is the “World Premiere” of TOUCH, 9 pm – 10 pm (Eastern) on Fox.
I am not entirely certain where the show will go, but I enjoyed the first episode. I look forward to seeing the World Premiere.
(If you don’t have cable TV, or free HD channels, Fox also posts the episodes online – typically a day after they air on television.)
The show is about a father and his son. The boy has autism and is non-verbal. The show had more mystery and suspense than I was expecting, and it definitely held my attention. I hope it turns out to be a good and successful show.
I would like it very much if the general population would not equate being non-verbal with lack of intelligence. Perhaps if this show catches on, maybe it will change the way that people look at autistic children, like my daughter, who are non-verbal.
Because, behind the silence, is a bright and clever child. I want the world to know what I know. I want the world to see her the way that I see her.
